About A Vet and A Van
Local service, grounded in accountability.
A Vet and A Van is a veteran-owned and minority-owned service company based in Springfield, Illinois. We focus on small, straightforward jobs and reliable service for local homes and properties.
Our story
Service that shows up in the details.
A Vet and A Van was founded by Sergio Talavera, an Army veteran who served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He built the company to bring the same commitment, discipline and attention to detail to everyday service work in the community.
Today, we help with manageable handyman repairs, property maintenance and cleanouts. Our focus is practical: understand the job, communicate clearly and do the work with care.
